Spiritual symbols in the Miraculous Medal

My husband and I have visited the shrine at the Rue de Bac convent in Paris, when we were in France. On one occasion, our visit was especially spiritually enriched when a group we were with met up with Father Robert Vaillancourt, who celebrated Mass with us in one of the convent's upstairs side chapels.  Saint Catherine LabourĂ© experienced a Marian apparition at the Rue de Bac convent in the Chapel of the Miraculous Medal, in 1830, in Paris, France. This convent located in the heart of Paris is where the Sisters of Saint Vincent de Paul live and perform their humanitarian charitable good works in the Parisian communities. At this very convent, in 1830, Saint Catherine  LabourĂ© (1806-1876)  experienced a Marian apparition whereby the design of the very inspiring Miraculous Medal was revealed to her during the experience. My husband and I have twice had the privilege of visiting Singapore. Each time, we were impressed by the enthusiasm the Singapore people show in their Roman Catholicism.  Although the diverse Singapore culture includes many Asian religions and a sizeable number of the population are practicing Muslims, the Catholic Church has a strong following, based on our experiences attending Mass while in the country. Obituary: May the Road Rise Up to Meet You, Father Steve. Richard L'Heureux and Father Steve Concannon at an anniversary Mass at the Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church in New Hampshire. Rev. Stephen F. Concannon, former pastor of All Saints Parish in Mid Coast Maine and a senior priest at Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Parish, former longtime priest in the Diocese of Portland, ME passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 29, 2022. He was born in Portland, ME on April 9, 1939 the son of the late Stephen P. and Katherine A. (Feeney) Concannon. He graduated from Cheverus High School, Portland and Boston College. He received his S.T.L. from St. Mary’s Seminary, Baltimore, MD and was ordained to the priesthood May 16, 1964 by the late Bishop Daniel J. Feeney. He served the Diocese of Portland as an Associate Pastor at St. Joseph’s in Gardiner, ME and St. Martha’s in Kennebunkport, ME before being assigned to the Diocesan Tribunal.
