Spiritual symbols in the Miraculous Medal

My husband and I have visited the shrine at the Rue de Bac convent in Paris, when we were in France. On one occasion, our visit was especially spiritually enriched when a group we were with met up with Father Robert Vaillancourt, who celebrated Mass with us in one of the convent's upstairs side chapels.

Saint Catherine Labouré experienced a Marian apparition at the Rue de Bac convent in the Chapel of the Miraculous Medal, in 1830, in Paris, France.

This convent located in the heart of Paris is where the Sisters of Saint Vincent de Paul live and perform their humanitarian charitable good works in the Parisian communities. At this very convent, in 1830, Saint Catherine LabourĂ© (1806-1876) experienced a Marian apparition whereby the design of the very inspiring Miraculous Medal was revealed to her during the experience. I found this poster description about the religious significance symbolized in the medal to be meaningful.

I am honored to own many Miraculous Medals and I have worn one on many occasions, on a chain around my neck.
