Immaculate Heart of Mary Consecration of Russia and Ukraine by Popes, Cardinals and Bishops

Pope Francis announced he would consecrate Russia and Ukraine to the Immaculate Heart of Mary on 25 March 2022, at Saint Peter's Basilica in Rome. A consecration ceremony is also scheduled in Fatima, Portugal by the Papal almoner, Cardinal Konrad Krajewski. Former Pope Benedict will join in consecration of Russia. Some scholars believe that Pope Pius XII’s most significant contribution was his consecration of the entire world to the Immaculate Heart of Mary , on October 31, 1942, the twenty-fifth anniversary of the apparitions of Our Lady of Fatima.   Former Cardinal Ratzinger, t he Pope Emeritus Benedict,  will join privately, not in the St. Peter's ceremony; bishops around the world announce their participation Archbishop Georg Gänswein, the personal secretary of Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI, confirmed that Benedict will join in Pope Francis’ consecration of Russia and Ukraine
